Phone-banking has proven itself a vital tool in the Counting on Chicago Coalition’s efforts to increase response to the 2020 Census in traditionally hard-to-count communities on Chicago’s West and South sides. As of June 23rd, coalition members had placed more than 200,000 calls.

The coalition’s goal was to canvass 50,000 residents in their assigned zip codes by the end of June; by June 23 they were within reach of meeting that goal, having canvassed 45,000 residents with the Target SmartVan.
